The volume gathers a wide spectrum of contemporary American poetry and prose, bringing together both established voices and experimental figures.
Robert Frost contributes “The Walker,” Hart Crane appears with “The River,” William Carlos Williams with “The Atlantic City Convention,” and Conrad Aiken with two separate entries. Other contributors include Sherwood Anderson, Katherine Anne Porter, Wallace Gould, Josephine Herbst, Yvor Winters, Evelyn Scott, Kay Boyle, H.D., Waldo Frank, Paul Strand and Robert Penn Warren.
