Franklin, an influential photojournalist who focused on documenting Black cultural and political life in Philadelphia, as well as the Civil Rights Movement. Franklin amassed a vast archive of over 35,000 images, capturing moments of extraordinary significance in the Black community. His work appeared in publications such as The Philadelphia Tribune and Ebony.
