Ca. 1862–1875 stereoview of Boston’s Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.
—
From the “American Views” series of stereoviews by Boston photographer John Payson Soule, “No. 555. Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, Boston, Mass.” The photograph shows a street crowded with wagons and awning-covered vendor’s stalls along side the dome-covered Quincy Market; several signs are quite legible. Faneuil Hall public market house and meeting hall stands in the background. Soule’s career flourished from 1859 to 1882; he was at this Washington Street address between 1862–1875.
