Civil War-era stereoview by Sigismund Beer showing the entrance arch and rear of the Fort William Henry Hotel, a popular Lake George resort. The verso bears the ownership inscription, “Blanche C. Peabody, Aug. 1864.” Beer and his brother were known for their New York City and Lake George views in the 1860s.
