First and sole edition of the first literary production by Enoch Pond, prolific author, clergyman, exponent of New England Theology and professor in Bangor Theological Seminary. Pond gave this 1815 sermon when he was twenty-three years old. The DAB noted that a “list of his writings includes some fifty-eight separate publications on biographical, historical, and religious subjects, about forty of which are books.”
