A record of the brief, exploited lives of the Fairy Sisters, diminutive performers touted as the world’s smallest persons, who toured New England in 1872 and 1873.

The Fairy Sisters, Catherine Foster (“Cassie” 1865–1875) and Victoria Foster (1871–1874), are described here in a small handbill, (3¾ x 3 inches): “The smallest of Lilliputian and the greatest of Musical prodigies….”

This promotional group, used by Fred A. Pickering of Boston, agent for the Fairy Sisters, also includes his business card and a blank exhibition contract.
