Yearbook of Central State University, an independent HBCU since 1947. The school began in 1887 as a two-year normal and industrial department at A.M.E Church-affiliated Wilberforce University, the first college owned and operated by Black Americans. A highlight of the yearbook, including some illustrations in color, is Central State’s National Intercollegiate (NAIA) men’s basketball 1968 championship team.
