Hotel Wages Tables Computed for 28, 30 and 31 Days. [Trade Catalog for Hoteliers]
—
An unrecorded trade catalog we date to 1926, per internal evidence, and aimed at American hoteliers. The catalog tried to be useful by also serving as a handbook for computing a hotel’s payroll; these tables interspersed throughout the catalog’s many pages of advertisements. Well-illustrated, goods for sale included a letter rack, guest books, hotel door numbers, waiter and porter badges, trunk labels, tally hand counting register, hotel cash books, and more.
Two copies representing a 1900 and 1918 edition are known (Cornell, Hagley); the present edition is unrecorded. Trade catalogs marketed to American hotels are scarce.
