First edition of this examination of the Versailles Treaty that ended the First World War with a particular focus on the “Armenia Question.” Rayford W. Logan (1897–1981), a WWI Black veteran, historian and advocate of Pan-Africanism. He attended Harvard and enjoyed a long tenure as a Howard University professor. He served on FDR’s “Black Cabinet” and drafted the language for Roosevelt’s executive order prohibiting the exclusion of African Americans from the military during World War II. He was a leading historian, co-editor of the Dictionary of American Negro Biography, and civil rights strategist.
