[Collection of Georg Jensen Silver Catalogs and Price Lists].
Collection of trade catalogs featuring silver, silverware, and jewelry designed by Danish silversmith, Georg Jensen (1866–1935). The silver objects are here marketed by the Danish decorative arts firm of Georg Jensen & Wendel A/S [Ltd.], founded in 1918 by Jensen, Nils Wendel, a Swedish art dealer, and Thorolf Moeller.
The collection includes two trade catalogs, both of which are accompanied by their bilingual or English-language price lists. Silver objects for sale include bowls, candlesticks, tea and coffee sets, vases, pitchers, platters and other table ware, flat ware, serving pieces, etc.
Gold and silver jewelry is also offered including bracelets, pendants, brooches, rings, and cufflinks, plus boudoir accoutrements. One of the trade catalogs displays an elaborate silver choker with filigree work set with semi-precious stones as an example to the firm’s customers of Jensen’s high-style craftsmanship available to them.
