Charles Bridges (1794–1869), theologian and prolific religious author. Here writing to George Richard Corner (1801–1863), antiquary; notifying Corner that Bridges is sending an etching, a portrait of H.C. Englefield (c.1752–1822) —baronet, antiquary, science writer— “for your volume of antiquaries”. The etching was accomplished by Mary Dawson Turner. Numerous works by Mary Dawson Turner (1774-1850) are held by the National Portrait Gallery.
