Scarce book of American poetry with a long poem on the Incas, indigenous to Peru. Author Chauncey Thomas was a coach-builder in Boston and he dedicates this volume of poetry to George Houghton of Houghton, Mifflin & Co., who had edited and published his Utopian novel The Crystal Button in the same year.
