Circa 1902 rade catalog of toiletries and household requisites—Fin de Siècle Hints—issued by W.A. Costen Company, chemists and perfumers of Pocomoke City, Maryland. More than 45 halftone illustrations show bottles, boxes, and jars from their complete line, each accompanied by descriptive text and mail-order instructions. Products range from healing creams, soaps, skin lotions, talcum, and sachets to tooth powder, witch hazel, and “headache cologne.” The catalog also advertises flavor extracts, silver and furniture polish, and food coloring. Rare. Unrecorded in OCLC and Romaine, with no entries for the company in either.
