Ca. 1868–1870s photograph of the Saratoga Seltzer Spring Water Co. springhouse in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The Saratoga Seltzer Spring Water Co. was founded ca. 1868 by the children of Henry W. and Caroline Livingston and their son-in-law, Johnston Livingston.

This photograph shows the front of a large two-story brick spring-house and its entrance porch. The name of the business is on the brick below the cornice. Men and women stand out front or are seated in horse-drawn buggies. Other buildings are seen on the left, up a hill.

W.H. Sipperly established his photographic studio in Schuylersville, New York, in the 1850s, and later expanded to Saratoga and Mechanicsville. He later moved to Vermont.
