1915 Photograph of Eustis, Florida showing a local business car festooned for President’s Day.

A promotional photograph for Eustis, Florida business owner R.L. Burr, a company that offered plumbing and heating services.

The company also sold Fairbanks Morse oil engine and the Burr company has modified an automobile to be a parade vehicle advertising the brand. The automobile has an extended bed that carries a large (and heavy) motor engine. The bed also has room for individuals to stand up in, with steel support bars for them to hold, while the car was in motion. Patriotic motifs adorn the vehicle.

The image likely shows R.L. Burr himself, and perhaps his business partners. The February 22 date indicates that the men were either going to, or returning from, a town parade celebrating President’s Day.
