A section of documents includes “Letters of George Washington bearing on the Negro”; plus there are the “Proceedings of the Biennial Meeting of The Association for the Study of Negro Life and History.” The Journal was co-founded by Jesse E. Moorland and Carter G. Woodson who also co-founded what is now called Black History Month.
