1808 partially-printed promissory note signed by Lot Wedgwood of Parsonfield, York County, Massachusetts, i.e., District of Maine, for Robert Cross.

Printed and in manuscript: “For value received I the subscriber of Parsonfield in the county of York and state of Massachusetts promise to pay Robert Cross or order forty three dollars 25 cents, with interest after thirty days.” This is likely Lot Wedgwood (1786–1869), husband of Elizabeth or Elisabeth née Wingate Wedgwood (d. 1878). Partially, i.e., partly-printed promissory notes from the first decade of the 19th-century are scarce.
