Tragique Histoire D’Hamlet Prince of Danemark. Sarah Bernhardt. (After) Alphonse Mucha, 1969.
After Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939), the Czech painter and decorative artist. A lovely color lithographic poster hand reproduced in 1969 by Henri Deschamps, the Mourlot Studio’s Master Printer. The poster shows Sarah Bernhardt in her starring role as Hamlet as performed in Paris in 1899. This poster is of superior quality to modern-day giclée and cheap digital reproductions.
