Scarce novel set in Scotland by this obscure yet prolific Delaware author of historical fiction (“bleak romances”) and great-granddaughter of Declaration of Independence Signer George Read. Reeves lived primarily in Delaware and is buried in Immanuel Episcopal Church in historic New Castle.¹ All of Reeves’ books, pseudonymous and otherwise, are scarce to commerce.
