Cowboy on the Moon. (Rodeo in Town) A Western Operetta in Two Acts for Elementary Grades. [cover title]
A fun mash-up of 1950s American space exploration enthusiasm combined with that decade’s love affair of the American West in popular culture. The Cast includes a teacher of the Bow-And-Arrow School, the sheriff, Three-Gun Luke, Mr. Blair (The Wealthiest Man in Navajo County) and Happy Hopagog, the “Man in the Moon.” The last page of text shows costume illustrations including the “Moonsters” who have space suits and helmets and a large letter “M” on their outfit.
