Panoramic map of the Rhine Valley in Germany, from Mainz to Cologne, issued by the YMCA for American soldiers in occupied post-WWI Germany. The map was sold to tourists traveling by boat. It gives a birds-eye view of the scenery and towns along the way. The margins have 22 inset views of historic churches, monuments and castles. Text boxes provide information on the local history and geography.

Plowman.” The map is made from three joined sheets and unfolds to 63 x 9¼ inches. Cartouche title of map: “Panorama of the Rhine with Text Inserted (D.R.G.M.).” Slight fading to wraps; Near fine.
