“Bo Diddley Jr. delivers a show of power and excitement ‘A Blues Experience’”

Publicity and concert booking promotional sheet for Bo Diddley Jr., “master blues and R&B guitarist and singer.” Born David Hill Jr., Diddley was given his name by his cousin, Bo Diddley (1928–2008), the legendary bluesman, rock and roll guitarist and singer/songwriter.

The sheet lists numerous Black musicians and singers with whom Bo Diddley Jr. played: James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr., Jackie Wilson, Etta James, John Lee Hooker, Mary Wells, Elmore James, Ben E. King, The Coasters, and B.B. King.

Diddley, an Atlantic Records recording artist, played such venues as the Apollo Theater, the Club Baby Grand, the Fillmore East, and the Lone Star Cafe & Lone Star Roadhouse. A pencil annotation on the sheet notes that Diddley was currently playing his gigs with the One Night Stand Blues Band. Bookings were handled Long Island-based Curt A. Barad of S & P Management.
