Illustrated military history of Old Paxton Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania from the years just before the French and Indian War through the Second World War. The text includes numerous lists of soldiers’ and volunteers’ names plus the names of those who served there during World War II on the home front in various defense roles. The occasion for the book’s publication, according to the cover title, was a “Welcome Home Celebration for World War II Veterans of East Hanover, West Hanover and Lower Paxton Townships” held in Linglestown, Pennsylvania in August 1946.
