Charter of the Illinois Coal Company accompanied by a statistical analysis of the company’s lands and business prospects. The property of the company comprised 1,400 acres “...situated eight miles east of the river opposite St. Louis [Missouri], in St. Clair county, Illinois, of which near one thousand acres are Coal lands, covered by timber…,” near the town of Caseyville. (p) The analysis concerns historical land flooding; road construction; boat, ferry, wagon, and railroad transportation; projected coal consumption and sales; and the coal stratum itself.
Two issues of this pamphlet are known; this being more rare with only one copy located at Yale.
