1964 Roberto Clemente Signed Team Photo; also Autographed by Pittsburgh Pirates Greats Donn Clendenson and Bob Veale, etc.
A perennial All-Star and Gold Glove player, Roberto Clemente was also the NL batting title winner in 1964 and that year’s National League leader for hits.
In addition to Clemente’s autograph, this 1964 team photo is also signed by: Black Americans Donn Clendenson, who would later win the 1969 World Series MVP for the winning Miracle Mets, and Bob Veale, the 1964 National League Strikeout King. The photo is further autographed by Jerry “The Hat” Lynch, considered one of baseball’s best pinch hitters, and pitcher Steve Blass.
After his tragic death in 1972, Roberto Clemente became both the first Latin American and Caribbean player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Autographed and notable Roberto Clemente items are highly desirable. At auction in 2016 a signed game bat brought over $45K and a 1970s signed Topps baseball card brought just over $3500. In 2020, a signed photograph, ca. 1970, sold for just over $6K and a signed index card alone brought just over $5500.
Expertly matted and presented within an archival mylar sheet and double-frame window.
