Biography of Black nationalist and Pan-Africanist, Marcus Garvey (1887–1940) the Jamaican activist, orator author, publisher and entrepreneur, and orator. Garvey established the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA-ACL, i.e., UNIA), through which he declared himself Provisional President of Africa.
