Prospectus for Brooks Seminary, a women’s non-sectarian boarding school in Poughkeepsie, New York. The school was founded in 1871 by Mary Bryan Johnson and subsequently conducted by her as Principal and her husband, Edward White, as Proprietor. The prospectus lists the instructors and students and describes the course of instruction and the seminary rules. Illustrations depict the seminary building and an interior view of the library showing many young ladies. Rare and not in OCLC.

Similar prospectuses are located for 1873–74 (AAS) and 1874–75 (UCal.-Davis and AAS). OCLC also records an 1875 “circular” (LOC) and an 1879 catalog (LOC) both of which may have served a similar function as a prospectus.
