Reprint of two pamphlets, possibly first published in Newbern, North Carolina in 1788, when North Carolinians were considering the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. The two reprints are entitled: To the People of the State of North Carolina by “A citizen of North-Carolina” [James Iredell] and To the People of the District of Edenton by “A Citizen and Soldier.” With an historical introduction by University of North Carolina Professor of History, Hugh T. Lefler (1901–1981), who here inscribes this copy to his fellow UNC history professor, Fletcher Green (1895–1978).
