Unused toy or paper doll book with both chromolithographic and hand-colored illustrations, published by McLoughlin Bros., noted New York City children’s book publisher and toy and game manufacturers.
The uncut set comprises a “Little Lady” doll (in her underclothes), printed on stiff cardboard, plus four dresses (one to each leaf) and a halo-like bonnet. Each of the latter items of clothing are able to be cut out to dress the doll figure. A charming girl’s toy book and respectable Victorian pastime.

Hand-colored engraved illustrations of paper doll and clothes within. Two illustrations signed “Holloway.” Without envelope; small losses to lower wrapper and with some staining thereon offsetting onto final leaf; very good.
