Du Bois dedicates chapters to black explorers, labor, soldiers, the “Freedom of Womanhood”, Negro Art and Literature, etc. With a lengthy introduction written by Edward F. McSweeney; issued as part of the Knights of Columbus Racial Contribution Series. A noted African American sociologist, historian, and Pan-Africanist, W.E.B. Du Bois (1868–1963), was a towering figure in 20th century American Black history.
