C.1911 Leather manufacturer’s trade catalog offering belting, lacing, straps, packings, frictions, and gears for industrial use.
The Chicago-based company specialized in mechanical leather goods such as belts to transfer power from electric motors to machinery used in polishing, woodworking, printing and lithographing, routing, etc. Their leather products were also used for hydraulic packing, plunger packing, hydraulic leather discs, washers and gaskets, and leather friction wheels.
A separate section offers automobile and motorcycle specialties such as clutch leathers, joint covers, fan belts, tire sleeves, etc.
The well-illustrated catalog shows the specialized leather-working tools they also sold as well as lovely front-facing and side view depictions of the company’s plant. A price list for leather belting dates the trade catalog to c.1911.
