C.1930s travel brochure for Taos, New Mexico issued by The Don Fernando Hotel, named for late 17th and early 18th century Spanish Conquistador, Don Fernando de Chavez.

The amenities of the hotel are touted—including its Spanish-revival décor and “Indian Dining Room Girls”—as is its proximity of Taos to the Native American Pueblo peoples. Includes a calendar of annual events and festivals in Taos such as Buffalo or Deer Dances in January, Lenten processions of “Penitenties,” the Corn Dance in June, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi in October, and a Christmas Eve “Firelight Procession.”
