Industry and commerce of Buffalo represented at the Cotton States and International Exposition

Illustrated pamphlet touting the “Commercial, Industrial, Shipping, Convention and Electrical Center” that was 1895 Buffalo, New York.

The pamphlet was produced for distribution at The Cotton States and International Exposition that was held in what-is-today Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia during the closing months of 1895. It was compiled under the supervision of a committee representing various business exchanges in Buffalo: Merchants’, Lumber, Live Stock, Builders’, Real Estate, and Produce.

Half tone illustrations depict a bird’s-eye view of the city, views of its commercial infrastructure (harbor, breakwater, loading trestles, coal docks) and prominent buildings, both civic and private. A closing section waxes eloquent on the city’s natural wonder and attraction, Niagara Falls.
