An 18th century Philadelphia manuscript documenting the activity of Berniaud Dumas, & Jacques, French china and glass merchants who were located on South Second Street. Recorded is a sale for 24 wine glass, water decanters, and other vessels. The total sale came to just under £8. Claude Bernaiud, Toussaint Jacques, and Mr. Dumas were possibly French refugees from the French Revolution or its aftermath.
